Migration, Remittance and Its Consequences at the Household Level in Agrarian Nepal

Migration has historically been a feature of all societies. Over the decades, labor migration seeking employment major revenue source for Nepali youth. This study aims to explore patterns, remittances flow, and consequences foreign in agrarian households. The empirical analysis revealed that low individual income, lack prospects, poor economic conditions migrants, non-existence social assistance, child education, prestige, desire property accumulation were causes area. As result, increased wages, family shortage farming, less use farmyard manure, preference farm machinery, decreased crop production, abandoned livestock rearing, local seed agricultural household practices. These findings will aid developing policies related its on agriculture.
